RainCity Merch helps busy indie devs sell merch. We handle all the logistics, so you can focus your limited free time on what matters to you.

We will:

1. Design merch and an online merch store for your game.

2. Make and ship your merch as your fans order it.

3. Handle customer service for your merch store (return requests, lost packages, etc.).

RainCity Merch costs nothing upfront. We will design your merch and online store for free.

We operate by keeping a percentage of merch profits as our commission. This is usually 10-30%, depending on how much merch we are projected to sell.

Yes! You’ll stay the sole owner of your game’s IP. You’ll only give RainCity Merch a license to put your IP (e.g. logo, character designs) on physical items. You can still sell merch elsewhere, and you can revoke our license at any time.

Yes! We always offer full refunds for any damaged or defective merch.

Getting bad merch sucks, so we often send free replacements after the refund too!

Beyond this, your return policy is your choice. Tell us how you’d like to handle return requests, and we’ll take care of the rest.

We sell lots of merch, including:

We take 4-5 days to create the initial merch designs and online store, which we then polish according to your feedback. Once you’re 100% in love with the designs, we can launch the store immediately!

We use artwork from 3 sources:

1. Fanart. In our experience, fan artists tend to capture a game’s culture well and create artwork that is easy to love. So, we often pay for and license fanart to use on merch designs.

2. Official game assets. We will use your character designs, logos, and in-game artwork in our merch.

3. In-house. If fanart and official assets aren’t enough, we can make simple designs based on your game in-house.

We don’t make artwork or merch designs using AI.

Since we don’t charge for our design work, we own our specific merch designs. You can’t sell our specific designs on other platforms.

However, we do offer competitive rates for buying our designs outright!

We ship all over the world! International shipping rates apply outside of the US and Canada.

Yes! You can still sell merch for your game elsewhere (in person or online).

You can cancel your contract with us for free, at any time, to shut down your store and stop merch sales.
